Welcome to Conscious Design Media

It's time to improve indoor air quality

A new digital magazine about nontoxic indoor living

Welcome change-makers, bold trailblazers, innovative pioneers who want to change the world. We are Conscious Design Media.  We are an indoor living media that is focused on nontoxic high-quality indoor living and clean indoor air.

Our founder Robert John “SPACEMAN” is a visionary who is revolutionizing indoor living. CDM is part of Terraform Global.

We bring together experts in the design, building, architecture, home furnishing, and wellness sectors. Design can only be good design when it is good for people, that’s why we focus on human-centric conscious design. Our goal is to promote nontoxic indoor living and provoke change in the indoor living industry. We help people make better decisions around nontoxic living and change the industry from within.

The World Needs Us to Act Now

Before you read this, take a deep breath. Or don’t.

We are a collective of happy people here, but there are some things that keep us awake at night.

The bad news: toxic air is the fourth leading cause of death in the world. It doesn’t end there, unfortunately. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) studies of human exposure to air pollutants indicate that indoor levels of pollutants may be two to five times higher than outdoor levels. Toxic air is also bad for the world economy. According to the World Bank, disability from air pollution-related chronic diseases costs the global economy £175 billion ($225 billion) in lost labor annually.

Many focus on environmental issues and sustainability – good for you. We too! We care about sustainability and how it impacts human health. But here is how we are different: We look at things through the human-centric lens. If we build things focusing on what’s good for humans, the odds are pretty high they are good for the Earth too.

Americans spend on average 90% of their time indoors. In the UK? The number is 92%. That means that most people breathe indoor air 21 hours or more a day.

There is an entire industry devoted to outdoor living, and encouraging you to spend more time outdoors because indoor air is not good for you. That’s great, we love nature too, but most of our lives are lived indoors. Making our indoor environment healthy is our mission.

We believe if a group of smart people get together, we can change this together. Does this sound like you?

Join us in our mission for clean indoor air and subscribe to our mission brief now.
